my soon to be dwarf puffer tank

ok here is my 10g, gonna be turning it into a dwarf puffer tank soon. need to finish cycling it. and pick up some puffers.
stock:
2x dwarf puffers (possibly three if i can get 2 females and 1 male)
3-4x oto cats

what do you think?

fake... idk why, maybe i have an eye for fake plants. but i've had many people ask me if they are real or fake... guess i can pick the good ones

behind the mass of plants on the left is a Hydro I Sponge filter...

Those fake plants look really good... at first glance i thought they were real till i had a proper look...

Anyway, you could also try a few Cherry Red Shrimp as well if you want? i think they would make a good addition given the puffers don't try and eat them... at least thats what i used to have in my small 10G tank till the day my puffers at the time realized that they could actually catch and eat the shrimp...

I have always like dwarf puffers, never kept them but think they are cool..... I still have a empty 125 that might be a cool dwarf tank.....

Your tank looks great, you did a good job setting it up

i prefer the fake ones too, little to no work with the same asthetic effect... live plants do have their benifits, but the same effect can be reached with proper maintanence of the aquarium

I have those same fake plants, but mine never looked that good. Def the best fake plants scaped in a tank i've seen.
I've almost set up a puffer tank so many different times. i need to just do it I guess.

yea, right now im waiting for my LFS to get more in... they had about 30 3 weeks ago, went back on monday and nada :/ guess their popular

Well for the first year i had them they were all happy and fine, never had problems... then one day, one of them discovered they could actually catch and eat them... then thats when it was all over...

But from what i've heard from other keepers, normally it should be okay and that you can mix cherry red shrimp with dwarf puffers... but to be on the safe side, i would advise starting off with maybe 2 or 3 shrimp just to see how they fair against the puffers personality...
