That was a surprisingly calm reaction to having a snapping turtle clamp down on his finger... props to him for staying calm.
 
I was bit by a 120lbs ally snapper in front of a crowd of people at the museum I worked at. it was all I could do to keep from yelling out the most violent phrases there are. When something like that happens though, all the screaming in the world won't take it back so all you can do is grit your teeth and try and get it to let go.

or until you pour a bottle of rubbing alcohol on it...
 
god, i hope my snapper never gets me. he is still kinda small and hes been in captivity his whole life. but i know it could still happen. at least he isnt an alligator snapper like that one. ugh that hooked beak looks unforgiving. i dont care if people think im crazy. my turtle likes his head rubbed.:turtle::nilly:
