She is four years old now, and will be getting a 350 gallonish indoor pond in a few months. I can't wait for friends to be able to pet her. she is so soft on her underbelly and extereemly friendly....

the pond will take about a month to build. Not too sure what is a safe time to cycle it though...

wow very nice cant wait tell mine is that size

reading these forums I relize how much I don't know about her. she will be so much happier in a few months...

ya i know how u feel. she looken very healthy u did a good job and i bet it willlove it in the new pond, when mine gets bigger im hopeing to build a pond as well, keep us posted on how you build it

If you are moving her to a 350 gal, consider using 100 gallons of "old" water from her current tank as "seeding" water to jump start the cycling. I would even go so far as to recommend that you use a filter from her tank to begin the filtering process of the 350.
Just some thoughts....btw, she is pretty.

very nice motoro.... i used to pet my old big girl loved it.... after your pond is heated up take that water and filter and put it on the pond....

Gorgeous fish!

I personally would get a filter running on her tank now, to seed it, 3-4 weeks, just a bio filter of some sort. Then remove it an run it on the pond. Get some fish to "guinea pig" the pond for you, such as oscars or something else cheap that likes to eat. Feed them out in the pond for a month or so, take them out and then ad the ray. Using her current water is that useful, the bacteria that you want/need and is most accessible is in the sand and in the filter. You do want to match conductivity and pH though from tank to pond. Conductivity is more important b/c without it your ph reading will not be reliable.

Just my method. Not judging others.
