I have a 125 stocked with all 2-4 inch fish atm so overcrowding isn't an issue atm but do you think it will be when they get full grown.
My fish: 2 th. pasionis (pair but live a platonic relationship, i think the female has a low labido), 1 escondido, 1 male hrp, green terror, red terror, pleco, and 3 giant danio.

2nd tank 55g with 4 th. maculipinnis (2inchs), 4 sword tails and a pleco.

3rd tank 40g 2hrp, 1 texas, and a couple left over africans from a failed set up 3 multis, and 1 calvus, and a sailfin cat.

thanks

1st tank seems fine...2nd the plec will need a bigger tank soon....3rd I think the calvus and hrp's will fight and it is too small for the Tex to be in there....

the pleco in the 55 and the 40 are big lipped pleco's not sure how big they get. I think at petsmart it says 6 inches but we all know that that isn't always correct what they have down. I figure the texas in the 40 may eventually get to big and I will have to drop it into the 125 then.

The pasiones might feel threatened by the red terror(or other tankmates) as they are very placid fish, so might not breed or may be to small. I would give them less boisterous tankmates like giant danios & the swordtails in the 40. put evrybody else in the other tanks. ie. texas in the 125.

I had the th. passionis in by themselves in a 29 that I use for raising fry and the male would continually try to mate with the female and she would act interested and then leave the area. They were also very skiddish in the 29. So I then moved them to the 55 with the left over africans and the swordtails and they really faded out and were still very skidish. since moving them to the 125 they are actually the largest in the tank and have colored up nicely, except for the HRP and they run the tank together. when they are seperated the HRP actually bullies them but then they tag team him. I know this will all change then the tex, rt, and gt grow up.

I was going possible move the fish around again but it looks like my th. maculipinnis are about to spawn in the 55 so moving any fish around.

I will post some pictures once my batteries charge on my camera.
