So I have a 240 with 2 striped raphael cats in it. I knew one was tougher than the other because they were competing over a hiding spot when they were in a 60 and one lost an eye to the bought. The eye has healed nicely but since then the two eyed one has always been the one I see. He is also the one I saw eating some of the neon tetras he lives with. Well I always figured he was resilient but today proves he is about as tough as they come. I ha to remove some fish from the 240 and of course they were being difficult so I had to pull out all my pieces of driftwood, which I put in to a smaller tank with no water in it to help contain any drips. So I get the fish out, mess around putting the decor back together but a little diffrent, play around with the 40 gallon tank the fish went into. all in all at least 30 mins. I go to put the empty tank away and in the bottom is a two eyed raphael cat fish. I figured he had to be dead, so I pick him up and he moves a little. I held him gently avaiding his little side pinchers and put him in the flow of the pump in the 240. He instantly perked up and thrashed to get out of my hand and once free swam away as if nothing happened and went to hide under a piece of drift wood. So this guy will pluck out the eyes of others, eat who ever he can, and now can live out of water for a good half an hour.
