Ok, so I'm not really new to fish keeping or pretty much anything to do with tanks. However, I have had my tanks down for the last 2 years due to life changes. I am getting ready to set up my 125g again and want to buy a large number of angels for it from a vendor on here because they are a great deal and I love angels. So the question is:
When doing a fishless cycle what amount of fish does the dosing account for. I know it says to bring it up to 4-5 but would the resulting bacteria colony be adequate to accommodate say 100 small fish?

The other option I'm thinking that might be safer is to purchase 100 feeders for the tank and let them cycle it.

Which would you do?

I know using fish to cycle a tank isn't preferred by most people, but to cycle my 75G I used 200 feeder guppies and most survived. The LFS near me is pretty reliable and their feeders are well kept so I wasn't worried about disease. In the end I still have a ton of guppies who I've been gut feeding and they've been producing lots of babies that I'll use for feeders also.
