My "Super red" asian

I bought this asian aro in January it was supposed to be a super red asian but I am sure it isnt

Ace fish though its about 17" now and as bolshy and active as any other

Hoping the scale colour becomes more defined as it ages and grows

That looks like a bloody nice golden, to me. Like the dat too.
Definitely a red aro. The dorsal, caudal and anal fin displaying orange. Gold aros typically do not have orange on the dorsal fin. There are also hints of orange developing along its gill plate and scales on body. The way the orange color is developing along the scales is very typical for red aros. At that size, a Gold aro would have more pronounced gold color on 4, 5 or 6 levels of scales depending if RTG/HBRTG/XB.
