Somewhere lost
I had a red oscar for over a year now. I work at a fish store and they had an albino and I felt bad for it. Someone brought it in and it had hole in the head and was "pouting". So I bought him as a buddy for mine. Well I have had them together about 3 months maybe 2 and woke up Thursday morning and found eggs. They were showing signs of mating so I had put a rock in there for them. I heard that they will remove infertile eggs is that correct? They both are guarding the eggs. The albino is still eating the red will not. I have a 20gl and a 30gl set up for any baby's would this be enough? There are only 30-50 eggs remaining. I was not expecting them to lay eggs. Only 2 of the eggs seam to be white.

They were still laying them in that picture, there were more but I am pretty sure they were eaten. The top of the rock was almost all covered when I left for school, but when I got him there was at least 50 left. Now there are less. So I am figuring the infertile eggs are being eaten. The tanish ones are being left alone.
