My Taft

Looks good! He looks almost exactly like the one I used to have, though mine had much bluer fins.

All fins or just the caudal? I am hoping more blue comes in. When I got him the lower half of the caudal was red too.

So my Taft has been refereed to as Satan several times and I think it is about right. Originally I had the filamentous barbs in there and they taught him how to eat off the surface and take frozen lance fish. I decided I actually like the barbs so I moved them out of the tank after he killed one. Recently I added 4 albino tinfoil barbs. One disappeared the first night. I figured the taft killed it and the Gt ate it. I have been only offering carni sticks since then. The other day I lost my GT unexpectedly, which I think the taft is partially to blame. So I know the GT is no longer harassing any of the barbs. 30 minutes ago I literally watched the taft kill one of the barbs by pulling it apart chunk by chunk. I really haven't seen anything like this fish before. So now I have the tinfoils out of the tank. Going to try to starve him again (it will take a while he just had a huge meal) and try again. If he goes for my pretty large thin bar dollars then we really have a problem.
 
looks great! i love the yellowish scales on the fish!
