Was looking through some old pictures and thought I would share what my tank used to look like back in September, when I think was its prime. I kept most of these fish for years and regret selling them but like most others here I have lost interest in this hobby.

Unfortunately I do not have anymore of these fish. I am sure they all went to good homes and I hope all of their new owners take care of them as much as I did.

I'll start with some FTS:

Hope you guys enjoyed these pics as much as I've enjoyed keeping these fish.

I've decided not to completely leave the hobby as my dad and I put too much work into building this tank.

So I've gone soft and am going to keep a wild discus and S. Leucosticta tank with some wood and low-tech plants. Also have 2 Leptobotia Elongata's in the tank but I don't ever expect to see them unless its feeding time. lol I plan on putting a school of red-line torpedo barbs in as well to keep the tank active.

Removed the tiles and laid sand down. The sand really brightens my tank, I can't believe the difference it made! I'm satisfied with how this tank looks for now. I'll wait to see if I can find some more nice pieces of wood to add.

So if you guys are letting go any wild discus, let me know! I'll be in the market for some more! :D:D

Fish are stressed, just moved them over. I'll give them some time to settle in and hope that their colors will come out more.

And excuse the sand residue left inside the tank! Did not want to scrub it again after a long day's work removing the tiles and everything.

My 8-9" Leucosticta!! I've had this guy the longest of all my fish.. over 3 years I think.

those are some gorgeous fish. And I know exactly what you mean about losing interest in the hobby because I used to go on MFK literally every day at least once every hour that I was home, but lately its been pretty sporadic use and I really haven't done anything to my tanks aside from prolonged water changes in a few months. I'm trying to get back in it because it used to bring me so much joy, but now I almost feel like water changes are a chore (I used to love doing water changes). Hopefully this new season of river monsters will spark back my interest.

how big is the tank? and thats too bad you dont have any of these fish anymore.

Nice Aro and setup! :)

definitely need more plants in the set-up , too little greenery for a discus tank
