In the fishroom
Ok I have a swfo 90 gallon tank with live white sand as a substrate no LR. When I turn my lights in a pitch black room with 20 other tanks this tank glows! I can seen the fish and all! Why would my tank have a glow affect like this? I have never heard of this!

What kind of glow?

maybe the light reflecting off the white sand?
Cover it with something like rock, and see if it still glows.

maybe light coming in a window or something? do u live near chernobyl?

i lol'd at that.

and maybe the sand was glow in the dark sand and you misread the label?
i see glow in the dark sand all the time

maybe its phosphorescence (sp.)

Do you use fluorescent lighting?

I've found (when I switch the lights of my betta rack off and go to bed) that the fluorescent light tube will glow for some time when my room is totally dark.

yeh flourescent light tubes very slightly glow when you turn them off but you can only tell when its pitch black
