My tank ph level

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Not sure of what your supplies are. If there is no pet shops where you can buy a pH buffer, you can use peat moss to naturally lower pH. Driftwood also lowers pH. Not sure of what you have available to you.

best is not to mess with the ph by using buffer and your best bet is using ro water. I never have problem keeping my jardini, black aro, and silver aro with my 9.0 PH tap water.

I know others who have raised an Arowana successfully in higher pH levels. I think the key is for the pH level to be consistent so the Aro is able to adapt over time. Personally, my tank is at 7.6pH with no problems with the Aro.

If your ph is at 8.0 an stays at that amount all the time it's fine.. Mine is 7.8 with arowanas an pbass never had a problem... It's better to be high an steady then to be fluctuating all diff amounts or tryn to lower it an havin it go up an down. Consistency is the key my man

Your tap water has a Ph of 9.0!!! here it is 6.8-7.5

Personally I wouldn't keep an arowana at such a high pH. Take lots of research and a solid understanding of water chemistry to properly lower and keep a staple pH though. So it's up to you the amount of effort you want to spend for what would be best for the fish.
