Hi everyone first pic post . My tank is a 90 gal 48x18x24 with a diy background so its more like 12" depth so far I have 5 ob peacock and im shooting for a over stocked show tank. And im not sure what other species to add. I got a great deal on these peacock so I would like to keep it fairly affordable.

Nice deal, I would go with peacocks and haps, both should offer plenty of colorful options without dealing with the aggression that mbuna can bring. You might want to add some more rockwork for hiding spots, but if aggression is kept down then it won't be as necessary.

ob peacocks can hold their own so other peacocks or haps like moori or placidochromis electra maybe borleyi which is copadichromis family,my otopharynx lithobates-yellow blaze is faily common and reasonably peaceful. i would stay away from the mbuna family since they are pretty agressive and grow much faster than peacocks.

Thanks for the replys. Im finding some good deals around here. How about Red empress, xmas fulus ,and python island. Iwould have to grow them out a little first.
I like the color of the haps but I dont want fish that will get to big for my tank.
Another species im considering,I cant remember the name he is black with blueish strips and the females are orange.Hows the temper of this species.
I will be getting more peacock for sure.

Thanks every one I got some fish today 6 red empers,5 orange shoulder peacock,6 python island and 6 blue orchard peacock there all about an inch and in my grow out tank for now.
