My Tank Set Up Video

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nice tank and fish. Red bring out their color well?

Thanks. Yes, the red substrate brings out their patterns/color immediately. I chose to use gravel due to it being so much easier to obtain. Red, purple, blue, green, or other brights seem to work best my opinion. As most know through trial and error. Tan or lighter substrate make patterns become bland and dark makes them well....... dark.

Wow, nice! The fish and tank look great!

Thank you very much

Yeah same thing with my I put in red sand VS bare bottom and the difference is crazy. All patterns and colors come out.

Thanks. On my 3rd Silver Dat attempt myself. Had it for about 3 weeks and eats quite a bit. Not sure how successful this one will be, Other 2 silvers in the past did not do well either. They start to swim weird in a up and down stutter motion. That's an early sign of silvers going bye bye ......

yes i have that same issue. The first At i had only was 3-4" did very well. then my old man over fed it and got bloat. my second one i had lasted for a good while. got it up to 8"or so then it did what you stated. was head down tail up, and turned black. RIP. that one i got it on food sticks did well(i guess cause pellets) the last one ate worms and i only had it for a few days. died. 2-3"

Video taken tonight during a hikari gold (medium pellet) feeding. Highlighting both my PBB on the left and right part of the tank.
