Any Ideas on how to make the plants get bigger? I had posted earlier about my sword plant just loosing all its leaves dying-ish and it never grew to its full potential again?? Well I figured out the problem! turns out it had let out a runner but it didn't go anywhere so I had 3 swords jammed next to each other! So I up rooted it, cut off the dead roots and split them apart. hopefully now it will grow again lol

Sorry about the picture quality. took it with my phone. (don't mind the bichir I traded him for the cardinals)

Those are some nice tetras! EDIT: WAIT that is a bichir? That might not be safe for your new tetras.

If you want my opinion, maybe you could rotate the images the right way for better feedback. Do they appear sideways to anyone besides me?

You could hide your heater behind your log maybe? I guess when the swords get big enough it will be hidden... If you want them bigger, substrate mattters. What kind of substrate? Is it plain gravel or nutrient enriched?

Co2 + higher light helps also, apparently. BUT Lighting isn't the kind of thing you can just go add if you already have a hood for the tank.

lol. "don't mind the bichir, i traded him for the tetras" of course i wouldn't feed them to a bichir lol.
Anyways a week has passed and I have no clue what went wrong. I lost all 12 of them. :( everything was perfect. I tried a water change ext. they just started hanging near the top. then they started spiraling out of control. then they would die... such a sad loos the are a very nice looking fish.

Aw that's rough...

Who knows what could have gone wrong...
