So until I have the time to make a nice hood out of quality materials I made a temporary canopy and light fixture. (The Light itself will be one of the ones I will use in the end)
I figure some people if they don't mind how it looks could use this on a build.
So I used plastic eggcrate for the canopy with the plastic sheets for fluorescent fixtures ontop to cut down on evaporation. As far as the light fixture goes it is just a 4' T5 fixture screwed to some 2x4's.
Used zip ties because the plastic started to warp.
Drilling holes in the plastic for the zip ties.
I still need to put a background on the tank (I have enough room to get something back there)
Top is a bit ugly IMO, but as I said it will be temporary (Probably till next summer when I have more time)
Made it so I could open it when I have fish in it. Hopefully I will be moving my fire eel into it within 3-4 weeks.
