This is probably my favorite fish. There has been extensive debate on his true identification. Cyanogutattus or Carpintis. I think that he may be a mix. I have had him for about ten months now. He has grown quite a bit since then. He was less than an inch when I first got him, and now he is about 6 inches. Here are pics from yesterday. Enjoy.

That is a very nice looking Texas cichlid. :) Does look like it has charactoristics of both Cyanogutattus and Carpintis?!! Beautiful!
 
Thanks for the compliments. Yea, he does seem to have a few qualities of both species. I guess I'll never be sure?
 
One of my fav type of fish.... I have 4 that came from Rapps and they look nice at 2" can't wait untill they get the size of your beast
 
I do not see ANY carpinte in him. Gorgeous pure Texas!
