My Thorichthys Aureus tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a good feeling about them, they are super tiny. And not any color to them. Except for one spot. And light blue specs around said spot. But just but the intesity of the blue specs at what could only be MAYBE 1/2 inch. Gives me a lot of hope for them.
Yeah I wouldn't expect more than that at a tiny size, I bet they will grow up to be stunning

I’Ve had these guys in quarantine for a couple weeks now, their fat, eating, and happy so I decided it was alright to add them to my tank. Was alittle nervous at first due to their extremely small size, but I figured with the lack of agression my guys have shown so far I would be safe.

After an initial hold your breath chase moment, my larger Aureus decided to leave the little guys alone. So happy day, they’ve been schooling around the bottom happily all day. Still very hard to get pictures but I did manage to get two.
Hope you guys enjoy, thanks everyone that’s followed this thread I appreciate all your input.

You can see the size difference between a 2ish inch Aureus at the top, and these guys alittle lower quality pic but the size comparison was kinda nice.
Here is abit better quality one.

Just in case anyone was curious how these guys are doing. They got moved into my outdoor pond due to the tank failing. And now they’re all convinced they’re Africans. But doing well.
It’s hard to get good pictures of them so forgive the poor quality.
