Well I finally but in a order from AquaScape for a Tigrinus Cat:headbang2 They said he should be about 8" and eating lots of frozen foods. I'm sure some of you guys want to know what it costs to get one of these in AK, well $295:eek: yeah $95 for shipping. I've done as much research as I could but do you have any other pointers I might have over looked. He will be going in a 180 for now with 2x FX5 and 2 air stones, temp 82 and water is premo. Planning on feeding mostly frozen raw shrimp, silversides, and will try sinking catfish pellets.

:cry::cry::cry::cry:,i want one sooo bad:(

Pics please when you get him:headbang2

Hey guys i made a thread a while back and no one seems to have much info on these cats. At the store I work at we have a bunch and we feed them consistantly. They don't hunt very well it seems we keep about 20 or 30 feeders at all times in the 180 for them theres about 12 its a large system so the water stays good. But we keep the feeders for a while to kill of any parasites. We feed them silver sides and krill also every once ina while we throw in cut up tilapia seem to like it. Thats all the info i really have hope it helps. Im deffenetly not en expert but that is what had been working for me. : ) GL give us some pics to drool over : )

if you feed a tig that size on shrimp it wont last long small tigs have problems diqesting shrimp

pellet train it from day 1

sorry no pics yet (don't want to cause extra stress). Well after a near death experience I was able to bring him back to life (the water was COLD when he showed up and he was upside down and not moving). Now the problem is he is SUPER SKINNY, I have never seen a fish so skinny. He shows no interest in the shrimp or hikari sinking carnivore pellets. I'm going to try to find some earthworms or nightcrawlers today. are there any foods these guys can't resist. Normally I would not worry about a fish not eating within a day or even a week of getting it but he is sooo skinny. I'll update later

good luck buddy hope he gets nice n fat for ya.

Hey, I just got a tigrinus cat a few weekends ago, if you are not already aware, they don't like light too much, and are easily startled while they are young, keep your tank covered in case of jumping

& if you can't get him to eat anything try black worms they are one of our tirginus favorites, we also keep a few pellets in there too

they are also more active at night.. so if you find he's not eating too much during the day that will be why, try to always have some food in there.. so that they will eat when they're hungry

well he ate a nightcrawler and a half, I really hope he starts taking pellets. I'm still shocked at how thin he is. I really hope he makes it. I don't have my lights on so the pics are pretty lame. I tried to brighten them so you could see him. I was hoping he would move into the log behind him so I could turn my lights on, but he likes the corner better.
