Yeah, don't hate on me but i actully had to move, and lift some of the drift wood in the tank to take those pics. They where not to happy about that. I tried to take pics without disturbing them but that was near impossible to do given their tentative nature.
not to argue but I wouldn't use rocks as hiding spots unless they where flush to the base of the tank and not gonna tip. they dig entirely too much, driftwood is easier for them to rearrange hehe.. Nice pics ! how big are they?
Like wise, i used to have rocks, but got to concerned about possible shifting and injury issues so now i just use alot of drift wood. As for size, TT roughly about 7"-8", Fire Eel 5". Thanx for your possitive comments.
Yay for babies! They're so fun to watch grow! But I still can't wait to see mine as big as my arm. My older guy has no problems moving around his pvc pipe for the most part. good thing he doesn't have a perchant for it, and can move a peice of 18" mopane wood fairly easy along the barebottom of the tank. they are alot stronger then they appear. What do you feed them? how long have you had them! piccy's give full bragging rights!
LOL poor little things hahaha they look so exposed. Your tiretrack's giving the camera a, "Will you get that thing out of my face? <_<" look lol. Absolutely gorgeous eels though, I've been looking for someone who had this combo myself. So fires and tiretracks get along together nicely?
