I heard it's a good thing to every now and then have your turtle roam free around the house/garden. I don't have a garden, so I let him roam around my apartment. He has been in a tank for about 2.5 years, and probably is used to being in there. But he seems so frightened right now, I have him out and he is currently in a dark corner of my room and won't leave, I'm trying not to do anything, and just let him be, so he can relax. Is this a bad idea, should I just keep him in the tank?
My turtle is a African Side Neck, I'm pretty sure he is around 3 years old, about 8 inches long, in a 60 gallon tank, with 3 other RES, those guys are about 4-5 inches, and a few gold fish.
