My turtle

Don't know what it is. Was an impulse purchase of my wife's and has been in the pond for a year or so. Most "friendly" turtle we've ever had. No hissing or biting. Comes right to us for food. If I remember correctly it's some sort of cooter.

That's got to be the tamest peninsula cooter (Pseudemys peninsularis) I've ever seen. Nice job and turt.

Looks nice,how deep is it?...I have a small pond out back that Ive been wanting rig a waterfall to.

3' deep. Was a lot of dirt to dig by hand but the fish and turtle seem happy in it. They don't mind the green water or ugly filter near as much as I do.

Haha I'll bet they don't.Some plants might help with the green water until you get the UV but they might overgrow.

Once the water's consistently warmer the yellow flag iris in the filter should take off and will hopefully help a bit. Might throw some duckweed on it for some shade and prepper nutrition.
