I'm obviously not done yet, but I just felt like posting a pic of my progress :) The water's a bit cloudy fromt he new gravel, but it's 90% gone.

My goals are:
-Black background and sides
-Couple flagstone decorations
-Tons of green plants and moss
-Big, brancy piece of driftwood to decorate
-Few floating plants, and a powerhead
-LED pod that I'm rigging up to do a moon beam from one top angle to the bottom at night
-Sand/stain the hood and stand a medium-dark cherry wood finish
-Add a little more gravel

Going to be putting 3-4 red tail barracuda's in there within the next few months. Right now I have some guppies and ghost shrimp in there to see if anything kills them off, but so far so good!

Anyways, any input/advice would be much appreciated! The pic is kinda crappy since it's in the room filled with all the junk for now, but it will have a home soon. Let me know what you all think so far.

paint the back black.. not the sides. pick up some SEACHEM STABILITY and use that to speed up the cycle process. (look here for proof http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=324445)

I'll pick some of this for sure. Thanks for the heads up! Why not paint the sides though? People tell me how skittish the cuda's can get, so I figured it would minimize the stress on them.

Thanks!

STXman - I will have to measure it out for you tomorrow :)
