Sorry I didnt get alot of pics but Ill give quick run down of what I used and did.

Materials:
3 boxes of 50 count white Christmas LEDs from Lowes
36" of 1.25" PVC
the reflector portion of a 4' shop light
zipties

thats it.

I split the PVC down the middle with a jig saw. after that I marked out the PVC down the middle and marked 20mm increments. this was the perfect spacing to be able to offset over a 1/4in and fit another light in between 2.

Then I drilled the holes for the LED bulbs and started stuffing them in. it took both pieces of PVC to fit all the lights. after I got all the lights in I zip tied the transformers and plugs down into the pipe. Then I attached the assemblys to the reflector with pieces of 1x2. thats it.

yea its not as bright as some of the others but, the others didnt cost 15 bucks and take an hour and half. ;)

that look more like the main lighting system. really bright. Or maybe its because you used white instead of the usual blue.

Looks good.

I was originally going to go with the coax clips on a 1x2 idea, I even bought them. And then on the way home it hit me to do the pvc. I was hoping to be able to only use one side of it and then beable to sandwich it back together with end caps and zip ties to make a sealed system. Next time ill try a bigger diameter. I just had this laying around.

If you compare your results to most of the other threads on this subject, you'll notice that yours has much more even, diffuse light. That reflector & the tight spacing of the smaller LED's is key & it looks great!

It looks great. If you were to build it again, would you do it the same or change something? Specifically, would you add more light to make it brighter?

I think you gave me a weekend project.
