not quite there yet though. about 3-4 inches right now

how many crickets should I be feeding him at this size? I want to make sure I'm not over feeding him

also do you guys have any suggestions about switching him over to pellets? is that a good thing to do as soon as possible

well i would get a rubber nose in there with him and feed him small dogs that fart alot

well that was helpful..:screwy::screwy::screwy: give him frozen krill for starters.. he needs all the nutrition he can get.. after lets say, 2 weeks, start him with pellets of food sticks.. it never hurts to start early..:D:D

he will be a monster in no time

oh and :welcome: to MFK

It's always best if you're aros trained to eat pellets.

to answer your Questions......PIN HEAD crickets 3 to 5 3x a day, 6 to 8 inches should be a good size to teach your arow to eat pellets. just give your arow time to adjust to you and everything else, then feed pellets.

Small aros need soft floating foods. Freeze dried blood worms, soft freeze dried shrimp/krill and a quality flake food are best at this size.

It is very easy to get them hooked on crickets, feed only 2-3 at a feeding every other day. If your aro seems to not want anything but the crickets, then stop feeding crickets until the other foods are accepted. Also let the crickets eat carrots before you feed to the aro.

I would not start pellets until the 6-7" range.

first welcome to MFK where people will shoot an arrow through your head if your cruel to your fish hehe! j/k

i woud not suggest feeding it crickets in that size. try bloodworms or krills. keep us updated on that beauty
