So there I was, making some BMWs, and my glove caught on a bolt gun going in reverse, started wrapping around and took my hand with it. backwards. It chipped the bone in my middle finger and it's pretty ugly.

But now I've got the comp so I don't have to work for a few weeks...what's better than being completely useless while being a drain on a large, multi-national corporation's funds?

Sorry to hear that, but you'll have a swet scar to show for it. Make me a BMW when you go back to work!

That sucks sorry to here that..
I crushed my foot 2 yrs ago at work and have to stay on comp and get retrained comp wont let me take a job unless i sign off it really sucks ! hope yu dont have any long term problems.

Yeah me too...I'm a guitarist and it's on my fretting hand, pretty much right on the knuckle so I hope when it heals it doesn't leave my finger permanently straight...that and because it's my middle finger, and I don't want to be the guy who can't help giving everyone the finger.

It is my dream to one day have a disability that causes me to give everyone the finger. LOL

Help me move a tank, don't forget when we set it down to leave your finger underneath...

Seriously though, sucks. I had a back injury years ago, had a month off for it. Also had to fight the company to get paid.

What sucks is that it's only a percentage of your pay. I was on it for a little while, I tore some muscles in my back carrying a couple rotors. I set them down on the floor and OWOWOWOWOW OMGWTF!!! Guess I just bent over the wrong way.
I thought being on work comp would kick ass. It did for a few days, then I started getting bored and wanted to go back to work.

hey post a pic. i'm going into nursing and i could add it to my collection of bloody, gross medical pics.

Man it really is boring. I used to play the guitar when I was bored, but I can't do that, and TV sucks, no good books to read, no car, no money since I just started the job last week and haven't gotten a paycheck yet, just the computer and even that's a pain in the ass right now with the typing. blah.

But yeah at least it's one of those comically-unfortunate injuries. Funny thing is, I've got the bad habit of giving lots of people the finger. I just never thought it would get stuck that way.
