These guys are F1 and range from 4-5.5". The one showing the best blues i believe is female?? not sure on sexing these guys. she doesnt have the head profile like the males so thats what i went off of, maybe someone can help a lil better. I also apologize about the dirt glass:) so far these are the best pics ive gotten of these guys. I have a total of 8 in a 125 right now.

all very nice fish , that one has nice color but i think your right its female . i think all those are female just by sight . i kept 10 vontehillo's from my pair and there a little smaller than that and i have 2 males in the group ...
yours is a real nice group , nice color on them . if they do turn out female you can get 1 male that will be hella happy ...

Hey Thanks Ralph; ) I will definitely pick one up from u if I need him. Post some of yours too.I didn't get pics of all of them I think I Have 2-3 males but we'll see If I can get pics of them

i dont know they do seem to have slimmer profiles than i remember my big male having but i dont see any black in their dorsals (but of course this can change with mood lol), best and quickest way though would be to just net them out and vent them, i would fill a big bucket with tank water and stick the ones you already vented in there while you catch the others so you dont stress out and catch a fish twice. and since they already have some size to them it should be really easy to tell that way, GOOD LUCK with getting a pair! and great group! these guys have such awesome colors, they are by far my favorite carpintis variant and pictures just do not capture their beautiful deep blues properly

Hey Thanks Sarah, like I was saying I'm sure that these ate just pics of females. The ones I believe are males have a different head shape than ones in pics But smaller and less dominant than miss blue LOL.most of these pics are of her since she's dominant and showing best colors. And ad far as the black spot, I usually use that but haven't had luck using that technique With this group. But the spot does come And go with a few of them. I'm Really not worried if I get a pair right now. I can always find what I need later. I'm a lil overwhelmed with my other fish I'm working on to focus on these guys Ans pairing. But I do love the colors And personality and There fine to grow out and chill where They're at for now. And thank you for the advice and comments

Very nice Ralph. Did u vent him? And F1 isn't a big deal as I don't plan n selling the fry anyway. Do u live close to Chris?

about 300 miles but if you really want him you can call me when your ready ,we can figure something out . he's kinda young so i never vented him but he has a block face and a really wide mouth . she would be the ugliest female ever :WHOA: ha .anythings possible though so ill check her out better this weekend....
