My wild-caught bocourti is reaching its maturity

My bocourti is reaching its adulthood and developing this nice red coloration on him. He is about more than a year old and 12" long. I had a few before but they never developed red colors like this one especially this young.

Thanks. They are very easy to raise and always in the open. A fun fish to have.

they are ! mine is just starting to develop the red, its justs a faint pink now at about 10.5"

I don't know. Maybe just different location.

Here is the old one that I used to have. It has more like yellowish and orange coloration,

Now it is with Ruck Fules. I think he can post some pictures of it.
