How big of a tank would I need for my wish list??

1 x Red Festae
1 x Green Terror
1 x Electric Blue Jack Dempsey/Regular Jack (Depending on agression)
1 x Platinum/All White Oscar

I'm thinkin about a 120 to a 150?
Any thoughts? Has anyone tried this combo before?
Also, Does anyone know who the best breeders of all these fish are? This forum is stock full of breeders of fish like this, just personal experiences, Who has the nicest fish?! =]
Thanks!
Spencer

yeah EBJD would be dead in no time, festae come out of the egg fighting teeth and nails and would tear it up in a heartbeat. i would see an issue with the O getting beat up as well but you might have a chance if he is larger than everyone and the tank is big enough (Os would also be the fastest grower out of all those so MAYBE would be ok) i wouldnt try it in anything less than a 6ft 150, 180 would be better and LOTS of site breaks

Yeah the Festae would be pretty hard on the EBJD. EBJD would be stressed before it had the chance to grow any size and the will to fight back. An Oscar would have to be a lot larger for the Festae to leave it alone most of the time. I think what ever you get should be a little larger than the Festae. This will give the others time to grow bigger and stronger and keep the Festae at bay. But the thing with Festae is that they can flip on a dime. You never know they are going to go nuts until they do. I agree with Sarah on the tank size, a 150 or larger would be best long term.

I agree about the ebjd. But as far as festae I've had different experience with them. I think this goes back to the personality of the individual fish. I say get them all small and grow out together in a 150 or 180 would be best. And Just get one of each species except ebjd And grow them our together. I think you'll be happy and with them small gives You a longer time to keep them together before you might have to make changes:) good luck

Alright thanks guys!! I'm planning on gettin them all at about 1-2 inches so I have a long time with them and so I can watch them grow =] So you guys think I could get away with a regular JD? In that case I might just do Festae, JD, and O. Could I do those three in a 120?
Also would a 4 or a 6 foot 120 be better? I don't have 6 feet of space right now but if it comes down to it I might be able to move my bed, lol
Could I do any smaller tank mates with this trio? Maybe like a convict or firemouth? Or would I just be able to have the 3 alone in the tank?
Thanks again for all your help!
Spencer

a 4foot tank is not gonna work with that stock. the tank would need a 6x2 footprint to give adequate space for those guys

Haha alright, looks like I'll be moving my bed then =] lol So what about tank mates for these three? Can you see anyone else in that tank? or would it basically be just the three?
