I have a 55 gallon with a couple of african cichlids. well the other day i noticed my zebra had a mouth full off eggs. My thing is that she is the only of her kind its a mix cichlid tank. There is a white and pink albino zebra that seems to be the mating pair. He does his dance or what ever and me moved the rocks from the bottom of the tank. My question is do you just leave her in the tank with the eggs in her mouth, for how long. Are they going to be hybrids. I dont mind but i read that if she does not feel safe she will keep the eggs in her mouth untill she gets thin and might die.

my guess is they are hybrids they would have to be right? do you have another tank you could move her and her possible mate to?

no but it too late now i tried to but her in a breeder and she got stressed and ate the eggs but she look slike she is goin to breed again so i'll do it right this time when the eggs arein her mouth are they fertilezed
