Has anyone raised Myleus Schomburgkii thin bar to adult size? I can't seem to find info on the correct size these fish attain. The info I found said 4.5" but mine has already achieved that size and are still growing.

Do these attain the size of the wide bar?

No they won't reach the size of widebars.
Myleus schomburgkii widebar are from peru and max out at 12-15''. Good size dinner plate dollars with a wide black bar, orage coloration like a pacu, and a emperor blue hook.
While Myleus Schomburgkii thinbar are from Colombia and S. America max out at 7.5''-8''. Another good sized black bar silverdollar that has a thinbar with a redhook and maybe a little red on the gill. Perfect for the average fish keeper.

I've never seen a non red hook thinbar, even with my countless amount of searching before deciding on which myself.

I have a group of 20 schomburgkii (black bar red hooks) and the largest is about 5" disc size. I'm growing them out for a future tank. They have seemed to hit a wall when it came to growth round wise but have been getting wider.

Thanks for the info and the reason I asked was...

I have a group of 6 thinbar and I had recently posted them for sale because I figured they would be lunch for my adult rays. I moved my thinbars from a 90 gallon grow out tank to a 230 gallon as I was waiting for a buyer to pick them up. They are growing faster in the 230 gallon and now I am wondering if they will get big enough to go with my adult rays. I have a couple that have already reached 5" which meant almost a 1 1/2" growth in about a month since moving them. Now I am wondering if I should just keep them to find out their potential size. If they do get big enough they will either be going in a 450 gallon or 520 gallon with some rays. Any ideas if they would survive with the rays?

Any fish will grow faster in a much bigger tank. More room for them to swim and move their muscles.
I think the silverdollars personally will be too fast for your rays to catch. I think you should be fine.

They grew big enough to go with my rays but my indo was biting their tails off so I sold them. Trying my luck with the wide bars.
