So I woke up this morning to find my crawfish on his back, dead...
I have not had time to check the water params or anything because I was running out the door to work when I looked quick and saw something strange...I pulled him out and disposed of him...
All the fish in the tank looked fine, the crawfish was moving around and acting normal last night. The snails are fine too.
Only recent change to the tank was the move from gravel to sand. Any ideas on this? Is this something that can happen with craws sometimes? This is my first time ever keeping one...
Also, since I now have sand I have been told I should look into getting some Malaysian Trumpet Snails. Anyone know where I could find these and how much to expect to pay for them? Are there any other suggestions on something will move around in the sand to keep it stirred up??
I am bummed about losing the crawfish...I really liked that little guy...
