Mysterious gar death

Only thing I can think of is it broke its back. Don't really know how it happened

It’s a common injury if they’re in a large tank and get spooked or chased. That’s why they always recommend stepping up their tank size as they grow.

Ah. Wouldn't have ever thought. Maybe that's what there's so many gar skeletons underneath spillways; they break their spines from ramming into the concrete.

yeah it was pretty bent lost the rest of them today too

didn't keep them in a tank prob should have had them in a plastic tote in a quaranteine set up
it was around 50 gallons did weekly water changes another that may happened the tote may have started breaking down
