I can't see what your talking about but the previous posters questions in a good one.

I recommend doing another 50% water change with temperature matched, treated tap water until you can get your water tested.

How long has the tank been up? How long have you had these fish in this tank?

well ive been housing a ebjd 3" for around 3weeks to a month and the pleco has been there for 2 weeks. will do on the water change immediatly. the tank has been up and running for a few months just cycled it and use as a hospital tank.

It appears there's something going on with your water. That would be my first guess. The best thing to do, just in case it is your water, is to change some out.

Any time something seems weird, or wrong, the first thing I do is grab my dropper bottle test kit. You'd be surprised at what can set off a problem with water quality even in an established tank.

It appears to be internal bleeding to me(maybe from fighting or getting burned on the heater).

that's what it looked like but the other fish in basically none aggressive the heater is next to my uv steralizer i wonder if he could have gotten stuck between them. thee weird thing that the marks are on both sides of it's body almost semetrical..I know in the pic you can one see the one side but the other side looks the same thats what threw me for a loop.
thanks.
