I woke up this morning and found my wonderful little motoro dead. She was just fine last night and devoured the nightcrawler I gave her for dinner. There were no signs of anything worng except this odd green spot on her belly. Also not really seen in the pic is another dot, or more like indention above that spot. What happened?

Im so sad now. I wonder if I can ever keep rays again.

No. I've had her for about three months. When i got her she was very skinny and beat up but quickly gained weight on a diet of fresh shrimp, squid, and worms. Her's a picture of when I got her a few months ago and what she looked like last night. The sichla in the picture doesn't bother her, he just happens to be close to her in this picture.

sorry to hear about your loss man. that **** would make me pissed.

uummmmm.....weird green spot???

have you tested your water yet?

this one probably has to go under the category of 'crap happens'...sorry for the loss....it did start out skinny and bitten. sometimes they just croak for no apparant reason

yes but can somebody explain the weird green patch???

I tested the water last night and this morning and it was fine. Has anyone seen anything like this before? I don't know if it was an infection, or something inside her, or what it could have been.

That sucks man, sorry for your loss.

My params btw were spot on. Even my nitrates where perfect at about 5-10ppm. They usually are 25-40. I forgot to say that the green spot was not just color, but it looked as if it had started to eat through her skin. Not much to where it bled or was red but it appear to be just a tiny little bit had rotten away.

Unlucky man.

Sorry to see that :(
