I was at the LFS today and i saw 2 fish that the owner had marked as flowerhorns but i was iffy on it. They are still fry yet so they are only about an inch to and inch and a half long. They have a light grey body with no flowerline with a black spot at the base of the tail and red eyes. They have light pink fins and light pink on the belly by the gills. She wants 15 dollars for 1 and i was just wondering if it would be worth it to buy one and grow it out. What strain could it be?Thanks

More like logical. Sounds like low grade zz. Either take some pics and show us or ask her for pics of the parents. No way it would look like the one in his avatar unless it was coated in pearls with a base color.

I agree. For some reason noobs always seem to have a problem with this. Mostly because they've been lied to and don't know what they're buying.
