Mystery fish progression.

Hey all, bought this little fella a few weeks back from a lfs labeled as a blood parrot... Obviously it's not your regular blood parrot, maybe someone's breeding attempt at one.
Either way he really caught my eye so I'm growing him out in my 100g atm. Any opinions welcome...

Looks like a midevil but could easily be a what you say. Were there other more BP looking fish in with it? Cool looking little chap whatever it is. Keep us updated on it's progress.

The other taskmates looked more midevil, the pearling in the fins, high dorsal and slight pearling in the body steer me away from midevil... Bred quite a few midevil myself, isn't blood parrot midas x severum anyhow...
We will see, gonna starve him a few days as the more I look at his belly the more it seems a little bloated, maybe it's got a blood parrots belly lol.

thanks, his belly went down today so I think it was all krill and bio gold lol... wondering how he will peel.

No. Severums were not involved in creating the BP.

looks sorta like a Red Devil to me. When I catch them in lakes some of them tend to have the black spots like yours but Ive never seen one that small so I am not sure if they come with speckles like that on the fins. Im thinking either Red Devil or Red Devil mix
