Which one is better at eating algae? It's just the very short green that grows on the glass. My pH is about 7.3 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit.

I can't tell you which one works better, but i do know the zebra snails, will decide to make a run for it if there isn't enough food in the tank...

I keep a lot of zebra snails and I love them.
Great algae eaters and they have neat patterns.
don't know anything about mystery snails since I heard they reproduce rapdily, so I avoid them haha

Nerite snails prefer mostly algae. You must make sure you have abundant supply of algae otherwise, they will starve badly from lack thereof. They are very difficult to acclimate on other supplemental foods.

How big is the tank?
What are your KH and GH?

You need to increase your pH as that is not enough to stop the shells from pitting. Nerite snails consume a large amount of calcium that makes them very prone to shell pitting once the calcium supply is used up.
