I would say min tank size would be a 300-400 gallon as they grow up to 3 feet long. But, their growth rate is fairly slow.
 
These sailfin suckers get huge. Best suited for a pond after a couple of years because of their koi-like dimensions. Also, they lose much of their cool high fin as they reach adulthood. Look really neat as juvies though, good luck.
