Naesea sp RED

My naesea sp Red has grown 1/4 inch since I put them in on the 1st the new growth is green but the fact that it can turn red is lovely, when i got it it was blood red and now its burgundy with green growths.It is also starting to root.

How slow or fast those african water fern take to set out fresh roots?

Also my golfish leave the Naesea alone but love to play and eat the Hydrotriche hottoniiflora I got, so it seems they love to eat needle leaved or fine leaved plants and dont like broad leaved.
they ignore the fern, but then again it wont stay upright.

Bolbitis heudelotii is a slow growing plant. not sure how fast the roots grow though.
