ok so i finally got my new 100gallon or so flatback hexagon tank with built in wetdry on the back of it pumping and working, my question is with biomedia(and do not post the beginners guide to filter media, ive read it many times) but i can't find the nylon scrubbies anywhere, so i bought the shower nylon body things, and then put those in there for now...do they need to be all tightly bunched together? how should i place them in there?

you know, i have thought of using those shower poufs for bio too, however the pot scrubbies offer more surface for BB and are more compact for that area. I would get the scrubbies if i were you

like free floating in the tank? they would do more good inside the filter getting more contact

I was expecting there was a new scrubbie that was the design of a naked body.. man

As long as you have area for the BB to cling to, you should be fine. Make sure when your putting them in there that there is enough room for the water to pass through without getting backed up..

yeah. i believe it was to give them something to pay attention to in an attempt to prevent drop eye more than filtration. but yeah, it was 2 or 3 shower poofs floating with some big old aro's :D

make sure that they were not made with a scent added to the plastic
