I am an aquarist in the Willimantic, CT area, and have been a member of the site for about a half a year. I'm also some sort of crazy hindu/pacifist/neo-hippy. Except when I feed my redfin pickerel.
Anyone ever wishing to get together with another crazy aquarist in the eastern CT area should PM me sometime, there are always stupid college parties at my house, with tons of people crowding around aquaria with their jaws dropping.
My monsters so far consist of:
3 Satanoperca Jurupari
2 Satanoperca Leucosticta
3 Macrognathus Siamensis
1 Panaqua Nigrolineatus
1 Pterigoplichthys (Liposarcus, Multiradiatus) Gibbiceps
(separate tank)
1 Esox Americanus americanus
I also keep:
3 guppy tanks
1 planted corydoras sterbai and shrimp tank
1 figure eight puffer tank (for snail disposal)
1 20g mixed reef with zoanthids, ricordea, soft corals, sps, gorgonians, hitchhiking feather dusters, a sixline wrasse, and two pholidichthys spp. "engineer gobies"
So. I love the site, I just hate the lack of aquarists I know in my area. Especially females ones. But I'm convinced those don't exist
jk much love for all here, great to be here.
