Name that Fish?

Does anyone know what type of fish this is?


When I bought him he was thin as a needle and looked like a baby gar a little bit. He is now about 6 inches long, relatively peaceful, doesn't harass any of his tank mates..... unless he chooses to eat them.

Anywhere from 8 to 21 inches apparently....... I wonder who is dumber, the guy at the pet store for giving me the wrong pet description, or me for not doing the research before I bought it... LOL
