My gf bought me a "surprise" it was a catfish i knew nothing about!! my luck..I asked her what kind of catfish it was and she "said a pretty one that swims" 
!! i told her to find out what kind it was and she came back and told me it a four stripe L.... it was some big "L" word.
would some one might know what this elusive Long "L" word is?. she said it "Gets up to 12"" so im guessing that it get bigger than that i know pet stores lie!! he's about 4" is a very bright silver, long whiskers, and he has a black dot where his fin comes out of his back half on his body and half on his fin. i hope this helps some

it has one pair of whiskers that are as long if not longer than it's body do they get brighter as they grow? It probably depends on the fish huh?
