Name Training Dogs

I have 2 whippet pup, females. I am trying to get them to come to their own name, when I shout one name they both run over, not sure if they think its theyre name, following each other or just my voice, they both do the same with both names. Should I seperate them for a while every day and call theyre names and reward when responded to correctly? Any other ideas? They are still very young but I was told they would be fine learning this whenever I was ready to start.

like you said train them separately. put one in the room while you work on one dog, and then just alternate. thats what i did for my three schnauzers.

yup. keep one at your closest family members house and have them call them by name for a week and youl be getting both of them trained at the same time.
