Just wondering how many others out there name their pets, besides the usual cats and dogs. To me I feel that whichever animals I gave a name to I somehow get more attached to them, or it might be I was already attached to them in the first place that's why I decided to give them names:nilly::ROFL:

So far only my frogs has name:

Skinny my big male pyxie

Tiny my female pxyie

Champ my new baby pyxie

Boulder my pacman frog

My fishes and birds don't have names.

My girlfriend names my pets...

Jungle type Leopard Gecko - Master Chief
Patternless type Leopard Gecko - Sirius Black
Tangerine Type Leopard Gecko - Remus Lupin
Panther Gecko - Voldemort

And oddly enough...
Oscar cichlid - Oscar
Jaguar cichlid - Jaguar

I name my pets
Ive got kurt the python
bert the boa
kiki the python
beano the corn
bo the king
harriet the tortoise
lizzy the gecko,
themilkybarkid the gecko
lucky the iggy
LOL and thats about it really

If you dont name your herps, their not your friends...

I have/had:
Spyro the Sav
Draco the Beardie
Spunky the Crested
Spot/Moose the Leos
Snakey the Ball
Snakey II the Florida king
Fireball the Corn
Lizzie the Anole
Frodo the clawed frog
Big Bird the gulf coast toad (he was hypo or something... bright yellow)

Im trying to come up with a name for my western hognose though, its been 5 months and nothing...

Ive got lots of other names to share though lol, from my friends herps:
Freddie the dwarf caiman
Andy the anaconda
Lucas the beardie
Gary the sulcata
Anakin and Junior the RES
Oreo the black rat snake
Pumpkin the corn
Al the northern pine snake
Vitamin D the eastern milk snake
Bubba the eastern garter
Bowser the common snapper

So yeah... Names make it all the more personal. It helps in education demos and stuff I might add. Most little kids wouldnt want to pet a big pine snake. But if you say that pine snake is Al, it doesnt seem as frightening.

Tiger Salamanders - Justin, Jenner, Jonathan, Jeremy, and Nicodemus (Don Bluth movies)
Boa constrictors - Percival, Dindrane (King Arthur)
Skink(s) - Lilo (Disney movies)
Carpet Python(s) - majesty (forum usernames)
Antaresia Python(s) - Trillian (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy)
Geckos - Iggy and Pop (Proto-Punk musicians)

If I get a trio of ackie montiors, I will name them Itt, Mekkah and Lose.

I got a RB Pirhana called Heinrich, cause hes only got one eye and hes a bit evil... Not named any other fish, but then most of my others are shoaling fish..except my three Uaru, ipsy, dipsy and trixie...

I think the best name for a goanna is Joanna ;)

What do you think is a good name for a big male Argentine tegu or female western hognose?

I don't usually name my fish, but I do have a Jaguar Cichlid named "Fuffy".
He's anything but cute and cuddly. He loves to bite the hand that feeds him.
I like giving my pets goofy names. :D
