Namor my 5 inch male Umbee

A few reasons... first and most important.. I had a batch of 6 of them and 2 out of the six grew 5X faster then the other three.... They all started out the same size. This is probably the easiest way to tell and then his behavior.. very .. very aggressive as he hit 5 inches... I have a female with him about half his size from the original batch.

That might be a male but that is not always an accurate way to pick a male out of 5 or so fry. Nice Umbee keep us updated.
 
Yup.. not always accurate, but in this case it is... :)
Also male skinny litle tube is showing and it is different from female. Fem is fatter.. stubby.

Well sexing a fish from there tube is completely different from picking the dominate one from 6 fry. You should have said that is how you know it's a male.:)
