nana paludarium build

I've got an empty 5 gallon bowfront that I wand to have some fun with a try making into a paludarium. I should be getting some Good Stuff pond and stone expanding foam soon that I'm going to use to build the terrestrial portion of the tank. Is it safe to use regular Styrofoam to build a sort of frame to spray the expanding foam over?
