nandus slaty size?

Couldn't find too much information confirming the max size of nandus slaty . I know some members here landed a few within the last year or two, from 1.5 to 3". I've read conflicting info as to whether the max out at 3" or 8", like the nandus nandus. Anyone know how big/small they get?
