Just got this Aquatop 4g nano setup a few weeks ago, paid 39.99 shipped on ebay. Came with tank, LED lighting, filter. Using it to breed Goldenback yellow shrimp, but also going to be doing a nano scape. Starting this thread to track it and will update as the plants grow in.
Added plants today, for now just some "spiky moss" which I hope will carpet the left side. Then I want to add a couple tall stem plants in the back left, and try a baby tears carpet on the right/middle open ground.
The shrimp love it, all three females started holding eggs while in this tank for only a few days.

Should look great when it fills in :)
Just curious, why did you choose not to do iwagumi or DSM?

I may change it to iwagumi if I can find nice rocks that don't cost an arm and a leg, my LFS wanted 5$ a lb for theirs and I didn't want to spend 40$ on rocks. I do really like that style.

You can pick up free rocks quite easily, if you keep your eyes open - especially for such a small tank.

I want dragon stone or some nice black lava rock- haven't been able to find those free (or cheap). The rock in there, along with all the other rocks I use in my tanks, come from the Hudson river.

Shot a short video to show how this tank is filling in.
I also got a new finnex planted plus clip LED light and mignon filter. The filter that came with the aquatop kit was awful, and the light was OK but I wanted moonlights and red LEDs.
Turn the quality up, video seems to default at 480 for some reason but allows for up to 1440p
